On January 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOHN TREEBY, of Naxxar, former teacher at Mrieħel Junior Lyceum and former assistant head of school at Margaret Mortimer Secondary School, Santa Luċija, aged 78, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Yvonne, his daughters Mireille and her husband David Perko, Greta and her husband Trevor Schembri, his beloved granddaughters Emma and Maya, his brother Joseph Treeby Ward and his wife Frida, his sister Irene and her husband Paul Galea, his in-laws Isabelle Mallia and Vera Busuttil, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.

The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, January 29, at 1.30pm, for Our Lady of Victories parish church, Naxxar, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

Lord, grant him eternal rest.
