On March 17, at Mater Dei Hospital, EDWARD BALZAN, known to his family and friends as Eddie, aged 88, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church.

He will be forever loved and missed by his beloved wife May, née Scicluna, his daughter Fiona and her husband Bryan Navarro, his son Michael and his wife Mandy, née Calascione, his grandchildren Jan, Megan and Faye, his brother Paul and his wife Valerie, his sister Marie Louise and her husband Vincent, his brothers-in-law Fr John Scicluna SJ, Joe and his wife Jenny, his sister-in-law Marlene, widow of Lino, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.

The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Friday, March 20, for Tal-Ibraġ parish church where Mass to celebrate his life will be said at 10am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

Lord, grant him eternal rest.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Haematology Department at SAMOC and their Outreach Team, and Hospice Malta, St Venera, for all the support and care shown during this challenging time.
