It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of CARMEN ABELA, née Taliana, aged 91, surrounded by the love of her family.

Carmen leaves behind her beloved husband Alfred, with whom she shared a lifetime of treasured memories.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Dr Harold and his wife Mariella, Brian and his wife Johane, Kenneth and his wife Sharon, and Claire and her husband Kenneth, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who loved her immensely.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose warmth, wisdom and affection touched all who knew her.

Carmen will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her kindness, gentle spirit and the love she shared throughout her life.

While we mourn her loss, we find comfort in the memories she leaves behind and the enduring legacy of love, strength and family values she passed on to future generations.

The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, June 2 at 10.45am for Iklin parish church, where Mass for the repose of her soul will be celebrated at 11.30am, followed by burial in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

No flowers by request but donations to Inspire Malta foundation would be appreciated.
